2. General information
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (in particular the GDPR and the German TDDDG) and this privacy policy. This website can generally be used without providing personal data. Where personal data (such as name, e-mail address or phone number) is collected, this is done on a voluntary basis wherever possible.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by an external service provider (Hostinger International Ltd.), with whom a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR is in place. The data collected when you visit this website is stored on the host’s servers. This primarily concerns so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. It is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free presentation and security of our website. The log files are automatically deleted by the host in line with its retention periods.
4. Contacting us
If you contact us via the contact form, e-mail or phone, the details from your enquiry (name, e-mail address, phone number where applicable, and the content of the message) will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) where this has been requested. The data remains with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent or the purpose of storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies and no analytics services. Only technically necessary local storage within the meaning of Section 25 (2) TDDDG is used: your browser stores on your device whether you have acknowledged the privacy notice and – if you switch the design – your chosen display preference. This information remains exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to us or to third parties. You can delete it at any time via your browser settings.
6. Google Maps (map loads only after a click)
On our contact page we embed a map from Google Maps (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). For privacy reasons, the map is only loaded once you actively click “Load map”. Only then is data (including your IP address) transmitted to Google; Google may access information on your device and may also process data in third countries (in particular the USA). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, Section 25 (1) TDDDG), which you give by clicking. It applies to the respective page view; if you reload the page, the map is only loaded again after another click. Further information can be found in Google’s privacy policy:policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Disclosure of data
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties unless this is necessary for the performance of a contract, you have given your consent, or we are legally obliged to do so.
8. Your rights
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to:
- information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
You may revoke any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To do so, simply contact us using the contact details above.
9. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged violation. The competent authority for Rhineland-Palatinate is: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany.
10. Data security
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that your browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in the address bar.
11. Updates to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements, or to reflect changes to our services. The current version applies to your next visit.
